Mark Tasker
Partner and Head of Corporate & Commercial Department

Mark joined BWB in 2010 as Head of the Corporate & Commercial Department. Before joining BWB he was a corporate partner at City law firm Fox Williams LLP who he joined in 1996, becoming a partner in 1998. Mark trained and qualified in 1989 as a corporate solicitor at Bircham, Dyson Bell.

Mark has more than 20 years experience of advising clients on corporate transactional work. Clients commend Mark for his “maestro-like control of the [transaction] process”, and for being "absolutely first rate". He is also valued by clients for avoiding ‘the usual "shades of grey" advice and for making firm recommendations’.

• Acting for Nomad on the £14m placing and acquisition of an AIM listed client

Publications and Talks
• Mark has written a number of articles that have been published online and in the national press on such issues as shareholder disputes/agreements and raising capital
• For the American Bar Association he has undertaken key speaking roles on international private company M&A (Atlanta) and joint ventures (Paris). Mark also chaired a conference in Dallas on comparative alternative investment markets
• He has organised and regularly spoken at seminars on raising capital for an e-business; exits for ebusinesses; and investing in tech focused businesses. He has also spoken as an outside speaker on international mergers & acquisitions

Pro Bono Work
• Mark is a non-executive director of the national children’s charity, Starlight Children’s Foundation, that grants wishes for terminally and critically ill children
