Priya joined Bates Wells & Braithwaite as a Professional Development Lawyer (PDL) in August 2011. Before joining BWB she worked at Ashurst LLP for four years first as a fee-earner and then as a PDL in the corporate department. As a fee-earner Priya worked on a range of cross-border transactions involving equity capital markets as well as mergers and acquisitions (including public takeovers). As a PDL she concentrated mostly on public M&A and corporate governance issues. Prior to that Priya was a research fellow at the University of Cambridge, Centre for Business Research where she wrote and published extensively. She qualified and worked in India between 2001 and 2004 before coming to the UK to pursue her higher studies at the University of Cambridge.
Type of Work
Priya has extensive experience of advising on domestic and international M&A (including public takeovers) and AIM IPOs. She also has experience of advising on corporate governance and general corporate issues.
