• Eight months as legal intern with International Justice Mission in Thailand (2003)
• Joined Bates Wells & Braithwaite (2003)
• Admitted Solicitor (2005)

Type of Work
• Establishing new charities and social enterprises, including those transferring out from the public sector
• Charity incorporations, mergers and restructuring
• General company, commercial and charity law advice including grant-making, fundraising, intellectual property, finance and corporate philanthropy
• Advice to charities and registered social landlords on regulatory issues
• Work with international NGOs and faith-based organisations

Pro Bono Work
• Experience of voluntary work in the UK, Ukraine, China and Thailand
• Currently a trustee of three charities
• Co-ordinating BWB’s pro bono advice to small charities and community groups through LawWorks for Community Groups and Advocates for International Development
• Former Secretary and founding committee member of the Solicitors’ International Human Rights Group (2005-2007)
• Co-ordinating the Solicitors’ International Human Rights Group work on human trafficking including evidence to Joint Committee on Human Rights inquiry
