• Advising predominantly employer clients on a broad range of employment law and HR issues including handling grievances and disciplinaries, managing sickness absence, restructuring and carrying out redundancies, employment status and all types of discrimination;
• Drafting and reviewing contracts of employment, consultancy agreements, policies and procedures;
• Representation at employment tribunals;
• Preparing contentious cases for hearing and negotiating settlements;
• Judicial mediation
Examples of recent litigation
• Successfully defended a sex discrimination claim brought by an employee against a CEO;
• Securing strike out of claims at Pre-Hearing reviews;
• Defending claims for failure to consult and unfair dismissal under TUPE Regulations in multi-party litigation;
• Defending a disability discrimination claim in the EAT and Court of Appeal on the issue of employment status
