For the sixth year running, Bates Wells Braithwaite are hosting this ever popular event in conjunction with Remember A Charity, as part of Remember A Charity Week - the annual awareness raising campaign which aims to encourage people to consider leaving a legacy to charity when writing or updating their Will.
Our event which takes place on 13 September 2016 at BWB’s offices aims to provide an introduction to charitable legacies for those who are new to the area, or those who would like a refresher.
The event will include:
- An introduction to Remember A Charity, its work and the importance of legacies
- A guide to charitable legacies and inheritance tax basics
- The legacy marketplace and implications of a changing fundraising environment
- An introduction to avoiding and resolving challenges to charitable legacies
- A presentation from a guest speaker who will present insights from a charity's perspective
- Afternoon tea and networking opportunities both before and after the event

BWB supports Remember A Charity
Bates Wells Braithwaite are delighted to support Remember A Charity, a consortium of over 140 charities, with their annual campaign Remember A Charity Week, which works to encourage more people to consider leaving a charitable gift in their Will, an important source of income for many charities.
