Bates Wells Braithwaite (BWB) has won in the “Professional Services Firms” category at the inaugural ComRes Belief at Work Awards.
BWB was recognised for its encouragement of openness and innovation among its people, and was also praised for its Faith at Work lunches – a programme which gives individuals across the firm the chance to talk about their particular faith tradition and otherwise describe the wider impact that faith has on both their personal and professional lives.
The Awards, which seek to highlight outstanding examples of where firms have encouraged “people of all faiths and none to thrive”, also highlighted BWB’s efforts to “involve clients in its information-sharing, storytelling and practice development”.
Responding to the award win, Stephanie Biden, Partner, Bates Wells Braithwaite said:
“We are delighted that BWB has been recognised in the first ComRes Belief at Work awards. Faith can play a huge role in people’s sense of identity and purpose and affect many aspects of daily life, yet it is often overlooked in workplace diversity initiatives.
“We wanted opportunities to learn about the role different faiths may play in our colleagues’ and clients’ lives. BWB’s innovative Faith at Work lunches are some of the most popular internal events within the firm, with very positive feedback from both those attending and those presenting, and show it is possible to have open and enriching conversations between those of different faiths and none.”
