Susan is a solicitor in our Charity and Social Enterprise department. She completed her training contract at Linklaters and qualified in their Tax department in September 2016, before moving to Bates Wells Braithwaite in February 2018. During her time at Linklaters, Susan advised on the tax aspects of a variety of financial, capital markets and corporate transactions. Susan now works on a mix of charity and charity tax matters.

  • Advising on constitutional and operational issues for charities, including advising on conflicts of interest, procedure and other governance matters
  • Advising charities on various VAT issues
  • Advising on grant agreements, funding arrangements and commercial participator agreements for various large charities
